PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

This is a credential phishing page posing as a Ledger Live sign-in portal. It targets owners of Ledger hardware wallets. The subdomain misspells the brand as "ledgrr" and stacks trust words like "sso", "login" and "auth" so it reads as an official access point. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-15. It has been offline since 2026-09-23 after the hosting provider blocked its content, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page presented itself as "Ledger Live Login | Safe Crypto Access 🔐", using a lock emoji to suggest security. Ledger Live has no web login. Your wallet is protected by the physical device and its recovery phrase, so any site asking you to "sign in" to Ledger is fake by design. Pages like this collect whatever the visitor types, typically account details, passwords and often the 24-word recovery phrase. Anyone holding that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it.

Evidence

Twelve of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site as of 2026-09-21. Vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Kaspersky. That count is modest, but these are independent vendors reaching the same verdict. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and recognised Ledger branding on it. The domain is also listed by PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL, so wallet users relying on those lists would have been warned.

Infrastructure

The site was set up as a free Cloudflare Pages project on 2026-08-31, fifteen days before PhishDestroy caught it. Pages.dev subdomains cost nothing and take minutes to create, which suits throwaway phishing. Traffic resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. network space located in Canada. The provider's block ended the page roughly a week after first detection.

What to do

If you typed a Ledger recovery phrase into this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Initialise a new device or seed and move your remaining funds there immediately. If you entered an email or password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on app-based 2FA. Watch for follow-up messages pretending to be Ledger support. Defenders should block the domain and look for similar pages.dev subdomains that combine misspelled Ledger names with "sso", "login" or "auth".
