PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

solmix.org presents itself as "Solana Mixer — Mix SOL Privately, No KYC | SolMix". It borrows the Solana name to appear legitimate to SOL holders looking for anonymous transfers. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page and first flagged it on 2026-09-15. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

The page title advertises a mixing service, and we classify the site as Solana impersonation phishing. Fake mixers usually ask the visitor to send SOL to a deposit address and promise to return "clean" coins to a fresh wallet. The coins never come back. Some versions also ask the visitor to connect a wallet, which exposes it to malicious signing requests. The "No KYC" pitch attracts users who are unlikely to report the loss, and transfers on Solana cannot be reversed once they confirm.

Evidence

On 2026-09-29, five of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is low, so most security tools would still let the page load without a warning. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference the domain, which shows that other researchers have tracked it independently. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist in our set that lists it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. on 2026-09-09, six days before we detected it. That short gap is typical of sites built for a quick campaign. The site runs behind Cloudflare, which hides the real origin server, so the Canadian location only reflects Cloudflare's network. Its TLS certificate comes from Google Trust Services, so the browser padlock shows only that the connection is encrypted, not that the operator is legitimate.

What to do

Do not send SOL or any other token to an address this site gives you. If you already made a deposit, assume the funds are gone. Ignore any follow-up request for a "processing" or "release" fee. If you connected a wallet, revoke any token approvals or delegations it granted and move your remaining assets to a new wallet. Never enter a seed phrase on any site. Defenders should block the domain, flag outbound connections to it, and report it to the registrar and to Cloudflare's abuse team.
