PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

reward-gate.live is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as a "Bonus Request Page," a reward-claim portal built to look like a legitimate service paying out a bonus. Its presence on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists points to crypto wallet users as the intended audience. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-09. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online, with its content reachable behind access protection.

How the scam works

Bonus-claim pages work by promising a reward that can only be collected through a "request" step. That step asks the visitor to log in, enter account details, or connect a wallet and approve what looks like a routine claim. In reality the form or signature hands the operator whatever they asked for, whether login credentials, recovery details or permission to move tokens. The promised bonus never arrives, and victims can lose account access or wallet funds.

Evidence

On 2026-09-20, 10 of 89 VirusTotal engines classified the domain as malicious. They included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL with a phishing designation, which affects mail and DNS filtering across many networks. Beyond PhishDestroy, it is blocked by MetaMask and the SEAL crypto-security list, and it appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-07 through OwnRegistrar, Inc. and was caught just two days later, which is typical of throwaway domains spun up for a short phishing run. It resolves to Proitlab LLC's network in Armenia. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, which proves nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered a password or email on this page, change that password everywhere you reused it and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you typed a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new wallet immediately.
