PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

qrytrade.com presents itself as "QryTrade," a crypto trading brand. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at people looking to trade or manage crypto assets. We first flagged it on 2026-09-15. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content, so it remains a live risk.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy the look and language of a trading service so visitors believe they are on a legitimate platform. The visitor is then pushed to sign in, register, deposit funds or connect a wallet. Anything typed in, including email, password and 2FA codes, goes straight to the operators. Any crypto sent as a "deposit" goes to addresses they control. Victims can lose account access, deposited funds, or assets exposed through a wallet connection they approved.

Evidence

Eight of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-25: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but they include several major independent vendors. The domain is also on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, which shows wallet-focused security groups reached the same verdict. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as a phishing domain, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-06-16, about three months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap means it had time to gather traffic or prepare lures before it was flagged. Registration runs through Cloudflare, Inc., and the site sits behind Cloudflare's network on an address geolocated to Canada. This setup hides the actual origin server from casual inspection.

What to do

If you signed up or logged in on qrytrade.com, change that password everywhere you reused it and reset 2FA on any accounts that might be linked. Do not send any more money to "unlock" a balance or pay a withdrawal fee. Funds sent to this site should be treated as lost, so report the transfer to your exchange or payment provider right away. If you connected a wallet, use a revocation tool to cancel any token approvals you granted, and move assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not understand. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, and search logs for users who visited it.
