PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ps2hd.com presents itself as a Hungarian-language guide to gift codes and bonuses for the mobile strategy game Rise of Kingdoms. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at players hoping for free in-game rewards. We first flagged it on 2026-09-27, and it was still online with its content live on 2026-10-19. The page title reads as an ordinary fan guide, while our classification places the site in the impersonation phishing category.

How the scam works

Gift code and bonus pages exploit a simple hook. Players are promised redeemable codes, free gems or resources, and are steered toward a step that hands something over. That step may be a fake login for the game account, a request for personal or payment details, or a chain of 'verification' tasks. Because the page is written in Hungarian and built around a specific popular title, it reaches a narrow audience that is more likely to trust it. Victims risk losing their game accounts, including any purchases tied to them, along with any credentials or card details they enter.

Evidence

Six of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-06. The detections came from alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and desenmascara.me. That is a modest count, so many browsers and filters will not warn visitors yet. Independent vendors have still reached the same conclusion we did. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers are tracking it, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2022-03-02 through Spaceship, Inc., more than four years before we detected it. Its name has nothing to do with Rise of Kingdoms, which points to an older domain repurposed for this content rather than one registered for the brand. The site sits behind Cloudflare, Inc. with a Canadian network location, so the real origin server is hidden from view.

What to do

If you entered your Rise of Kingdoms or linked account login on this site, change that password right away. Do the same on any other service where you reused it, and turn on two-factor authentication. Check your game account for unfamiliar devices, transfers or purchases, and contact the game's official support if anything changed. If you submitted card details or paid for a 'code', call your card issuer to dispute the charge and block the card. Only redeem gift codes through the game's own official channels. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to Cloudflare. Watch for more Hungarian-language gaming lures appearing on unrelated domains.
