PhishDestroy threat report
onlineegcu.evgic.icu is a phishing page that impersonates a credit union. Its title reads "Welcome to Ever $ Green Federal Credit Union", and the hostname spells out "online EGCU" to pass as the institution's online banking portal. It targets the credit union's members. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-01. As of 2026-10-19 the hostname no longer resolved in DNS, although the server behind it was still up.
Lures of this kind usually arrive as text messages or emails warning of a locked account, a suspicious transaction or a required verification, with a link to this look-alike login page. Members who sign in hand their username and password straight to the operators. These pages often go on to ask for one-time codes, card details or security answers. With those, criminals can take over the real account, move funds or open new credit in the victim's name. The odd "Ever $ Green" spelling in the title is a typical sign of a hastily assembled copy.
On 2026-10-01, 10 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the site, including BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, CRDF, alphaMountain.ai and Criminal IP. That is a modest share of engines, but these are established web-filtering and antivirus vendors reaching the same verdict independently within two days of registration. Spamhaus DBL also lists the domain under its spam category, which suggests it was pushed through unsolicited messaging. PhishDestroy carries it on its blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-29 through Global Domain Group LLC and was flagged two days later. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains that are set up, spammed and abandoned quickly. The deep subdomain on a cheap .icu name lets the operators put the brand-like string up front while the real domain stays meaningless. The site was hosted at 163.61.188.2 on the NEW DHAKA HARDWARE network in the US. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate means the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
If you entered credentials on this page, change your credit union password immediately from the official app or a manually typed address. Change it anywhere else you reuse it too. Call the credit union using the number on your card, report the phishing attempt and ask them to review recent activity. If you shared card details or one-time codes, request a card replacement and watch your statements and credit reports. Defenders should block evgic.icu at the DNS and proxy layer, search mail and SMS gateways for messages linking to it, and report any related lures to the impersonated institution.
The linked repository preserves daily zone observations across seven ShortDot-operated TLDs, including registration volume and abuse-related indicators. This registry context is supporting background and is not an independent detection for the domain in this report.
For the registrable domain evgic.icu behind this subdomain, the registrar above operates under an ICANN accreditation agreement. The links below provide the official fee schedule and current DNS abuse compliance guidance.

This report combines saved page captures, registration and network records, scanner results and PhishDestroy reporting history. Each source keeps its own observation date. Open a source report to inspect the original result.
The AI-assisted analysis was written on . It describes the evidence available at that time; later source checks can change.
A capture documents what was shown. A scanner result records that provider’s assessment at the time of its check. Neither a valid certificate nor a zero-detection result is a guarantee of safety.
