PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

newmultlcrypt.pages.dev was an impersonation phishing page titled "Home - D@PPSsync". It posed as a DappsSync-style wallet synchronization service, with an "@" standing in for the "a". It targeted crypto wallet holders who believe their wallet needs syncing, validating or repairing. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-06. The site has been offline since 2026-09-16, its content was blocked by the hosting provider, and it was still dead when rechecked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake "DApps sync" portals present themselves as neutral tools that fix connection errors, stuck transactions, missing tokens or airdrop claims. The victim picks their wallet from a list. They are then asked to "import" or "validate" it by typing in a recovery phrase or private key, or to connect the wallet and sign what is presented as a routine verification. Whoever holds a seed phrase controls every asset in that wallet, so the attacker can empty it at will. A signed approval lets the attacker move the approved tokens without any further prompt.

Evidence

VirusTotal shows 5 of 89 engines flagging the address as of 2026-09-17: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and VIPRE. That is a modest count, so most security products would not have stopped a visitor. The crypto-focused blocklists did act. Besides PhishDestroy, the domain is listed by ScamSniffer and Enkrypt, which protect wallet users directly at the point of connection.

Infrastructure

The page sat on a free Cloudflare Pages subdomain created on 2026-09-05, and PhishDestroy detected it the next day. Free subdomains like this cost nothing and can be replaced within minutes, which suits short-lived phishing runs. Traffic resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. address space geolocated to Canada. The page lasted about ten days before going dark on 2026-09-16.

What to do

If you typed a recovery phrase or private key into this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh seed on a trusted device and move any remaining funds there immediately. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals using a reputable allowance checker, and watch for unexpected outgoing transfers. No legitimate service ever needs your seed phrase to "sync" a wallet. Defenders should block the domain and watch for similar Pages subdomains that reuse the "D@PPSsync" title.
