It targets crypto gamers, token holders and wallet users who expect a legitimate gaming app. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-15, eight days after it was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site is alive and its content is still being served.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages like this copy the look and messaging of a real Web3 project so visitors believe they are on the official site. The Web3 gaming theme gives the operators a pretext to ask visitors to connect a wallet, claim rewards, mint in-game assets or log in to an account. Victims who follow those steps can hand over account credentials or sign wallet requests that let the operators move their tokens and NFTs. Funds taken this way are generally unrecoverable once a transaction is signed.
Evidence
On 2026-10-19, VirusTotal showed 6 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a modest detection count, typical of a domain only days old, so many security tools will not yet warn users. Independently of PhishDestroy, the crypto-focused blocklist ScamSniffer also lists the site.

The padlock only shows the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
Do not connect a wallet, sign transactions or enter credentials on metaproapp.xyz. If you already connected a wallet, revoke any token and NFT approvals granted to unfamiliar contracts with a trusted approval-checking tool. Then move remaining assets to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you typed a password or seed phrase, treat it as compromised. Change the password everywhere you reused it, and never reuse a seed phrase that was entered on this page. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP at DNS and proxy level, and report it to the registrar and hosting provider for takedown.
