Overview

lumenscan.eu is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as "Lumenscan," a French-language platform offering crypto trading bots, a DeFi marketplace and an on-chain explorer. It targets French-speaking crypto users and DeFi traders looking for automated trading tools or blockchain lookup services. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-10-15. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still online and serving live content.

How the scam works

The page title, "Lumenscan | Bots de trading crypto, marché DeFi et explorateur on-chain," bundles several familiar crypto services so the site looks like a legitimate, full-featured tool. Impersonation pages of this kind borrow the look and language of real platforms to win trust. They then push visitors to connect a wallet, sign transactions, deposit funds into a "bot," or type in recovery phrases and login credentials. Anything submitted goes to the operators. Victims can lose wallet assets through malicious approvals or signatures, have deposited funds simply disappear, or see their accounts taken over with stolen credentials.

Evidence

On 2026-10-18, 9 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. The domain is listed on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL blocklists. Its presence on MetaMask's list means users of that wallet should get a warning before the page loads. The domain also appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have reported it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain is registered through Spaceship, Inc. It resolves to 188.114.97.3 on Cloudflare, Inc. network space, geolocated to Canada. Because Cloudflare acts as a proxy, the origin server sitting behind it is hidden. The site uses a TLS certificate from Let's Encrypt (YE1), so the padlock in the browser confirms only an encrypted connection, not that the operator is legitimate.

What to do

Do not connect a wallet, sign anything, deposit funds or enter credentials on lumenscan.eu. If you connected a wallet, revoke every token approval and permission granted during the visit with a trusted approval-management tool. Then move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as fully compromised and transfer funds out immediately from a clean device. Change any passwords you entered on the site and turn on two-factor authentication wherever you reused them. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and web proxies, add it to email and chat filtering, and watch logs for users who visited it after 2026-10-15.
