ltc.metaeora.sbs is an impersonation phishing page that copies a legitimate service to win a visitor's trust. The 'ltc' prefix echoes the Litecoin ticker, so crypto holders are the likely audience. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-03. It was still online on 2026-10-19, with its content served behind a protective browser-check layer.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages work by looking like a service you already use. They ask you to sign in, verify an account, or claim or migrate funds. Whatever you type, whether a password, a seed phrase or a private key, goes straight to the operator, and money you send never reaches a real service. The page title reads 'Just a moment...', which is the text of a browser-check interstitial rather than a branded login page. That title alone does not show the phishing content behind it, but the site is classified as impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-10-07, 7 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. Those were alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, SOCRadar and Webroot. That is a small share of engines, but the vendors are independent of each other, which supports the verdict. PhishDestroy is currently the only blocklist listing it, so many browsers and filters may not warn visitors yet.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-04-20, about five and a half months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests the domain was held in reserve before being used. The site sits behind Cloudflare's US network, which hides the real origin server and adds the browser check that visitors see first. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the address bar is no sign the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you entered a seed phrase or private key here, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining funds to a new wallet created on a clean device. If you entered a password, change it on the real service, turn on app-based 2FA and sign out all active sessions. Do not send any further 'verification' or 'unlock' payments, because those funds cannot be recovered. Security teams should block ltc.metaeora.sbs and other subdomains of metaeora.sbs at DNS and proxy level. They should also report the site to Cloudflare and Dynadot so it can be taken down.

Availability, content, DNS and registration are independent evidence layers. NXDOMAIN, an unreachable origin or missing content alone does not prove registrar action. A registrar or provider is credited only when a direct technical marker identifies that actor. Report causality is shown separately.
