Overview

lrn-desktop-ledgra-en--us.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page posing as Ledger's desktop software under the title "Ledger Desktop — Secure, Simple Cryptocurrency Management". It is aimed at owners of Ledger hardware wallets who are looking for the official app. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08, and it was still online with its phishing content live when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page copies the look and wording of a legitimate Ledger download page, and the misspelled "ledgra" plus the "en--us" locale tag in the hostname help it pass a quick glance in search results or ads. Fake Ledger pages like this usually end in one of two ways. Some push a tampered "Ledger Desktop" installer. Others show a fake setup or "sync" screen asking for the 24-word recovery phrase. Once that phrase is typed in, the attacker can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it, and the hardware wallet offers no protection.

Evidence

Four of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site when it was checked on 2026-09-22: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and LevelBlue. That is a low score, so most security tools will not warn a visitor. Stronger support comes from crypto-focused blocklists: the site is listed by MetaMask, SEAL and PhishFeed alongside PhishDestroy. Spamhaus also lists the hostname in its domain blocklist as phishing (DBL_PHISH).

Infrastructure

The site runs as a free project on Cloudflare Pages, so it sits under the shared pages.dev domain and needs no domain purchase. The project dates to 2026-08-05, about a month before PhishDestroy detected it, which gave it time to collect traffic first. It resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. address space geolocated to Canada. Free hosting on a trusted platform makes pages like this cheap to launch and easy to replace when they are taken down.

What to do

Ledger will never ask for your recovery phrase on a website or inside its app. If you entered it here, treat the wallet as compromised and move your funds right away to a new wallet created with a fresh phrase on a device you trust. If you installed software from this page, uninstall it, scan the computer, and download Ledger Live only from Ledger's official site. Defenders should block the hostname at DNS and proxy level and report it to Cloudflare. They can also add the Spamhaus DBL and the crypto blocklists listed above to filtering, which catches lookalike pages that most antivirus engines still miss.
