PhishDestroy threat report
livecdn.plasmic.run is a fraudulent page designed to steal seed phrases from cryptocurrency wallet holders, with urlscan.io identifying Ledger as the impersonated brand. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-12, and as of 2026-10-18 the site remains alive and its content reachable. It targets anyone holding a Ledger hardware wallet or any user who lands on the page believing they are interacting with a legitimate Ledger security process.
The page presents itself under the title "Vercel Security Checkpoint", framing the interaction as a routine platform verification step to lower the victim's guard. Behind that facade the site impersonates Ledger and prompts the visitor to enter their 12- or 24-word seed phrase, claiming it is required to pass the checkpoint or restore account access. The moment a victim submits their recovery phrase, attackers gain complete and permanent control of every wallet derived from it, allowing them to drain all associated funds instantly.
VirusTotal returned 17 detections from 89 scanning engines as of 2026-09-20, with flagging vendors including BitDefender, ESET, Emsisoft, Fortinet, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, and Chong Lua Dao. urlscan.io independently rendered the page and issued a malicious verdict, also identifying the Ledger brand as the target. The domain appears on the PhishDestroy blocklist. The page title references Vercel rather than Ledger directly; our classification is based on the urlscan brand detection and the seed-phrase-harvesting mechanism, not the title alone.
The domain was registered on 2022-08-05 through Amazon Registrar, Inc. and is hosted on IP 216.150.16.1 within AS16509, the Amazon.com, Inc. network, located in the United States. The TLS certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt under the YR1 authority, a free and automated certificate commonly used across both legitimate and malicious sites.
If you visited this page but did not enter your seed phrase, close it immediately and clear your browser cache. If you typed your seed phrase into this page, treat every wallet derived from that phrase as fully compromised: transfer all assets to a new wallet generated on a clean, offline device right away, because the old phrase cannot be made safe again. Do not reuse the compromised phrase under any circumstances. Security teams and wallet providers should add livecdn.plasmic.run to their blocklists and alert users who may have been redirected to this page.
