PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

live-ledgeer-eng-us.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page that uses Cloudflare branding. Its hostname also carries a misspelled "ledgeer" with an English-US locale tag, wording aimed at hardware-wallet and crypto users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. The site has been offline since 2026-09-17, its content was blocked by the hosting provider, and it was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Pages like this borrow a trusted brand so visitors relax and follow on-screen prompts. In crypto-themed variants that usually means a fake verification step that asks for a recovery phrase, a wallet connection or account credentials, and anything entered goes straight to the operator. A leaked seed phrase gives the attacker full control of the wallet. The page title currently reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", Cloudflare's own warning text, while PhishDestroy classifies the site as an impersonation phishing page.

Evidence

urlscan.io rated the page malicious and matched it to generic Cloudflare branding. The domain is listed by PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL, and the MetaMask and SEAL entries point to a threat aimed at wallet holders. VirusTotal showed 0 detections out of 89 engines on 2026-09-18, so standard antivirus engines did not flag it, and that clean result should not be read as a sign of safety.

Infrastructure

The site was a free subdomain on Cloudflare Pages, with a registration date of 2026-09-15 and hosting on the Cloudflare, Inc. network in Canada. Throwaway subdomains on a free hosting platform cost the operator nothing and can be replaced quickly once one is blocked, which fits the short lifespan here. Within days the page was offline and the provider had blocked its content.

What to do

If you typed a recovery phrase into this page, treat that wallet as compromised. Move your funds to a new wallet with a freshly generated seed, and never reuse the old phrase. If you connected a wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you do not recognise. If you entered a password, change it and turn on two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the hostname and the "ledgeer" naming pattern on pages.dev subdomains, and they should not rely on the clean VirusTotal result when deciding what to filter.
