PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledgre-livedesktop.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page hosted as a free Cloudflare Pages project. Its hostname reads like a misspelling of a desktop wallet app, a bait aimed at crypto users looking for wallet software. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. The site has been offline since 2026-09-17, its content blocked by the hosting provider, and it was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Pages like this pose as a trusted download or support portal for a wallet app. They then push the visitor to type in a recovery phrase or install a fake desktop client. A recovery phrase entered on such a page gives the operator full control of the wallet, and funds can be swept within minutes. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare" and the detected brand is Cloudflare, while we classify the site as impersonation phishing.

Evidence

VirusTotal shows 15 of 89 engines flagging the domain as of 2026-09-18. Among them are BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and CyRadar, a spread of independent vendors rather than a single outlier. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain sits on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, and the last two are maintained specifically to protect crypto wallet users.

Infrastructure

The project was created on 2026-07-28, about six weeks before PhishDestroy caught it. Free subdomains on Cloudflare Pages cost nothing and can be spun up in moments, so operators can replace a burned page quickly. The site resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure geolocated to Canada, and it went dark nine days after detection once the provider stepped in.

What to do

If you entered a recovery phrase on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a trusted device and move any remaining funds there immediately. If you downloaded and ran anything from it, uninstall it and run a full malware scan. Use a clean machine for future wallet activity, and only get wallet software from the vendor's official site you type in yourself. Defenders should block the domain and watch for similar typo-styled pages.dev hostnames that mimic wallet app names.
