PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledgr-live-log.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page whose name is a misspelling of Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets. Its audience is crypto holders who search for or click links to Ledger software. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. Cloudflare has since blocked the content, and the site has been offline since 2026-09-17, which was still the case at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Pages posing as Ledger Live usually claim the wallet needs a sync, update, verification or login. They then ask the visitor to type in the 24-word recovery phrase. Anyone who holds that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it, and the hardware wallet offers no protection once the phrase is out. The "log" in the subdomain fits the fake sign-in pretext these pages commonly use. The current page title, "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", is the provider's warning screen and not the original lure, while our classification describes the page that was there before the block.

Evidence

Seventeen of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the address as of 2026-09-18, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CyRadar, ESET, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and G-Data. That spread of independent vendors points to real phishing content rather than a single false positive. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain is also listed by MetaMask and SEAL alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users with those protections get a warning before the page loads.

Infrastructure

The page was published as a free Cloudflare Pages project on 2026-08-30, nine days before PhishDestroy detected it. Throwaway subdomains like this cost nothing to create, so operators can replace one quickly after a takedown. It was served from Cloudflare's network with a Canadian IP location. Cloudflare itself replaced the page with a phishing interstitial and took it offline on 2026-09-17, roughly a week after detection.

What to do

If you typed your recovery phrase on this site, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new wallet with a freshly generated phrase on your genuine Ledger device, then move any remaining funds to it immediately. Ledger and Ledger Live never ask for your 24 words. If you connected a software wallet, revoke token approvals you do not recognize, and only install Ledger Live from the official source. Defenders should block this pages.dev subdomain, watch for lookalike Ledger spellings on free hosting platforms, and report new variants to the hosting provider.
