PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledgr-live-apps.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page. Its name, a misspelled "ledgr" plus "live-apps", copies Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets, and targets people who manage crypto with that device. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. The site went offline on 2026-09-17, and on 2026-10-19 it was still dead, with its content blocked by the hosting provider.

How the scam works

Fake Ledger Live pages usually claim the wallet needs an update, a sync or a security check, then push the visitor to type in the 24-word recovery phrase or to download a counterfeit app that asks for it. Anyone holding that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it, so the hardware wallet's protection is bypassed entirely. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare". That is the provider's warning screen shown in place of the original content, while our classification refers to the impersonation page it replaced.

Evidence

On 2026-09-18, 17 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai and CyRadar, a broad mix of independent vendors. urlscan.io rated it malicious, and its brand match was Cloudflare's own warning page. Besides PhishDestroy, both the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists list the domain, so wallet users and crypto security responders see the same verdict.

Infrastructure

The site ran as a subdomain on Cloudflare Pages, a free static hosting service. Throwaway phishing pages like this can be published there in minutes without buying a domain. It resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. addresses geolocated to Canada and used a certificate from Google Trust Services, which is routine for Pages and says nothing about who ran it. The listed registration date of 2026-09-13 falls after PhishDestroy's first sighting on 2026-09-08. The site lasted roughly nine days in total before the provider took it down.

What to do

If you typed your recovery phrase into this site or into an app it offered, treat that wallet as compromised. Set up a new seed on your device and move your funds to it immediately, because resetting a PIN will not help. Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase through a website or app. If you installed software from the page, uninstall it and scan the computer. If you connected a wallet, revoke any token approvals granted during that session. Defenders should block the domain and watch for similar Ledger lookalike subdomains on free hosting platforms.
