PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledgerrlive-dekstop-run.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page hosted on a Cloudflare Pages subdomain. Its name is a misspelled "Ledger Live desktop" ("ledgerr", "dekstop"), the kind of typo-laden lure aimed at hardware-wallet owners searching for the desktop app. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, its content is blocked by the provider, and it was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Pages built around a fake wallet-app name usually do one of two things. They offer a counterfeit desktop download that steals wallet data, or they prompt for the 24-word recovery phrase under the pretext of syncing or restoring a device. Either way, the victim hands over full control of the wallet, and any funds can be emptied without further interaction. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's own warning screen rather than the original lure, while our classification is impersonation phishing.

Evidence

Sixteen of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-13. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and Criminal IP, a spread of independent vendors rather than a single feed. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, both maintained specifically to protect crypto users.

Infrastructure

The subdomain was created on 2025-09-08, almost a year before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests the project either sat unused or operated without being reported. It ran on Cloudflare Pages, served from Cloudflare's network with an address geolocated to Canada. The free pages.dev hosting gave the scam a trusted-looking parent domain at no cost, which is common for short-lived phishing projects.

What to do

If you downloaded and ran software from this site, treat that computer as compromised. Disconnect it, scan it, and do not use it for crypto until it has been reinstalled. If you typed your recovery phrase anywhere on the page, set up a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a clean device and move your funds immediately, because Ledger never asks for your phrase online. Get wallet software only from the vendor's official site, typed directly into the address bar. Security teams should block this specific subdomain rather than all of pages.dev, and watch for sibling projects using similar misspelled Ledger Live names.
