PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledgerr-live-deskktop.pages.dev is a phishing page hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Its hostname misspells "Ledger Live desktop" with doubled letters, a lookalike pattern aimed at crypto wallet users searching for wallet software. PhishDestroy classified it as impersonation and first saw it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, its content is blocked by the provider, and it was still dead on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Lookalike hostnames like this one rely on a typo or a misleading link to send users to a page that looks like an official download or wallet portal. Pages of this kind usually push fake desktop software or prompt for a recovery phrase, which gives the operator full control of the victim's funds. The page now carries the title "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", and scanners match it to the Cloudflare brand. Our classification is an impersonation phishing page.

Evidence

On 2026-09-13, VirusTotal showed 12 of 89 engines flagging the domain. The vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. That is a moderate count, but it comes from several unrelated vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain is also listed by PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL, and the last two are crypto-focused, so wallet users on those defenses are already warned.

Infrastructure

The pages.dev subdomain was created on 2025-09-26, almost eleven months before PhishDestroy flagged it. Free hosting on a trusted platform gives a phishing page a clean address and a valid certificate without buying a domain. Traffic resolves through Cloudflare, Inc. on 188.114.97.9, geolocated to CA. The provider has since taken the content down.

What to do

If you typed a recovery phrase into this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Set up a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a trusted device and move any remaining funds there right away. If you downloaded software from it, uninstall the software and run a full malware scan. Get Ledger Live only from Ledger's official site. If you connected a wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you did not intend to grant. Defenders should block the hostname and watch for similar misspelled Ledger names on pages.dev.
