PhishDestroy threat report
hitdifferentupdate.framer.website is an impersonation phishing page set up on a free subdomain of the Framer website builder. Its hostname uses "update" wording, a common lure for pushing visitors into urgent action. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-16. The site has been offline since 2026-09-08 and was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.
Impersonation pages copy the look of a trusted service and pressure the visitor to log in, confirm an account or apply an "update". Whatever the victim types, such as a password, one-time code or wallet recovery phrase, goes straight to the operators. They can then take over the account or drain the funds behind it. The page now returns Framer's "Site Not Found" title, which does not match our impersonation classification. That title reflects the page's current state after it went offline.
The classification has independent support. On 2026-08-26, 18 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the address, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, CRDF, alphaMountain.ai and Criminal IP. Those vendors feed browser, email and endpoint filters, so many users would have received warnings. Among blocklists, it appears on PhishDestroy's.
The operators did not register a domain of their own. They used a subdomain on Framer, which lets a phishing page go live in minutes and borrows the reputation of the parent platform. Framer serves the page from Amazon infrastructure in the Netherlands. Its Let's Encrypt certificate is standard for such platforms, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the page is legitimate.
If you entered a password on this page, change it right away on the real service, along with any other account that reuses it. Then turn on app-based two-factor authentication and review recent logins and sessions. If you submitted a two-factor code, assume your session was hijacked and sign out of all devices. If you typed a wallet recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a new one. Defenders should block the framer.website subdomain pattern for this host, search mail and proxy logs for visits between 2026-08-16 and 2026-09-08, and reset credentials for any users who reached it.
