PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

gtcefx.com is a live domain on the PhishDestroy blocklist. Its page carries the title "GTCFX - Massive selection of products", and the domain spells that name with an extra "e". PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-14, and it was still up and serving content when checked on 2026-10-19. The generic shop-style title does not match the domain's blocklisting.

How the scam works

The domain uses the GTCFX name in its page title while registered under a slightly different spelling. Lookalike domains like this are commonly used to catch people who mistype a brand or follow a link they assume is official. Wallet-security lists include this domain. That signals a risk to crypto users, such as being asked to connect a wallet, approve transactions, sign in or send funds to a site that is not the real brand. Treat any payment, login or wallet prompt on this domain as untrusted.

Evidence

When scanned on 2026-10-18, seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Netcraft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That count is modest, but these vendors cover web reputation and phishing feeds and reached their verdicts independently. Beyond PhishDestroy, both the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists list the domain, so wallet users with those protections should already see warnings. Three AlienVault OTX pulses also reference it, which means other researchers have tracked it too.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through GoDaddy on 2026-06-29, about three and a half months before PhishDestroy caught it. That gap gave it time to run before detection. It sits behind Cloudflare, with the address geolocated to Canada, so the true origin server is hidden. Its certificate from Google Trust Services means visitors see a normal padlock, which says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you were looking for GTCFX, reach the brand only through a bookmarked or independently verified address. Do not use this lookalike. If you connected a wallet here, review and revoke any token approvals it obtained, and move funds you consider exposed to a fresh wallet. If you entered a password or email, change it wherever you reused it and enable two-factor authentication. If you sent money, contact your payment provider.
