Overview

goldennchip.com presented itself as "Goldennchip: Most Popular Online Crypto Casino Based on Blockchain." PhishDestroy classifies it as a fraudulent gambling site aimed at crypto users looking for a provably fair casino. We first flagged it on 2026-10-14. The site went offline on 2026-10-16, and its DNS was still inactive when we checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The site runs on the Gambler Scam kit, a template that turns out polished crypto casinos in large numbers. The blockchain pitch in the page title is the bait: players deposit crypto and see their balance grow, often thanks to a bonus or a streak of easy early wins. When they try to cash out, the withdrawal stalls behind "verification," "tax" or "unlock" payments. Each fee paid leads to another demand, and both the deposits and the fees are lost.

Evidence

urlscan.io rated the site malicious and matched it to its generic crypto and crypto-scam brand signatures. On VirusTotal, only alphaMountain.ai flagged it, 1 of 92 engines on 2026-10-14. That low count means most security tools would not have warned a visitor. The domain appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers had tracked it independently, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through MAT BAO CORPORATION on 2026-03-31, about six and a half months before we detected it. That gap is long enough for the site to have taken deposits before it drew attention. It sat behind Cloudflare (AS13335, US), which conceals the real origin server. The site went dark two days after detection, which fits a disposable kit deployment that can be relaunched under a new name.

What to do

If you deposited funds, do not pay any withdrawal, tax or verification fee, because no payment will release your balance. Save your transaction hashes, deposit addresses and any chat logs. Report the loss to the exchange you sent from and to your local police or cybercrime unit. Ignore anyone who offers to recover the money for a fee, since recovery scams often target victims of fake casinos. Defenders should block goldennchip.com and watch for lookalike crypto-casino domains built from the Gambler Scam template.
