PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

faergth.top is an impersonation phishing site that crypto-focused blocklists, including MetaMask's and SEAL's, have marked as dangerous. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-25. On 2026-10-19 the domain was still online and serving content, so it remains an active risk. The page presents itself in Chinese as 后台管理系统, which translates to "Backend Management System."

How the scam works

An impersonation page copies the look of a trusted service and asks visitors to sign in, verify an account or act on a fake notice. Whatever they enter, such as usernames, passwords, one-time codes or recovery details, goes straight to the operators, who use it to take over accounts and move funds. The page title presents the site as an administrative login panel rather than a branded consumer page, which differs from our impersonation classification. Its presence on MetaMask and SEAL lists points to cryptocurrency users as the intended victims.

Evidence

On 2026-10-07, five of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is low, so many security tools will still treat the site as clean. The stronger signal comes from the crypto-security community. MetaMask and SEAL both list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users on those lists may already see a warning.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2026-04-26, about five months before PhishDestroy detected it. That kind of gap suggests the domain was bought ahead of time and held until a campaign needed it. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, with the edge address located in Canada, so the real origin server is hidden. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a padlock icon, but that shows only that the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you signed in on this page, change that password immediately on the real service, plus anywhere you reused it. Then turn on app-based two-factor authentication and review recent logins and active sessions. If you entered a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining assets to a new wallet created on a clean device. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and search their logs for past visits. Report it to Cloudflare so the remaining low-detection vendors catch up.
