Overview

exoduslarp.com borrows the name and look of Exodus, the popular desktop and mobile crypto wallet, to win the trust of people searching for wallet software. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-17. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still online and redirecting visitors elsewhere, so the threat remains active. The page calls itself "Exodus Larp Wallet (exoduslarp.com) — #1 Desktop Crypto Simulator v26.8.27", a simulator label that differs from our classification of the site as an Exodus impersonation phishing page.

How the scam works

Pages like this lean on a trusted wallet brand and a believable version number to make a download or wallet setup feel routine. Victims of Exodus impersonation schemes are typically pushed to install software or type in their 12-word recovery phrase. A recovery phrase entered into a fake wallet gives the operators full control of every asset tied to it. Any program installed from a lookalike site should be treated as hostile. The redirect means visitors may be passed on to another page in the same scheme rather than landing on this domain's content.

Evidence

Fifteen of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-01, including ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, CyRadar, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker and Fortinet. urlscan.io rated it malicious and identified the Exodus brand on the page. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as phishing, and the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists carry it alongside PhishDestroy. Fifteen AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it, showing that several independent researchers have tracked it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-05 through Cloudflare, Inc., just twelve days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains set up for a quick campaign. Traffic is served through Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, which keeps the real origin server out of view.
