PhishDestroy threat report
exodus-wallet-faq.created.app is an impersonation phishing page that poses as a help or FAQ resource for Exodus, the popular self-custody crypto wallet. Its targets are Exodus users searching for answers about their wallet, who are an easy audience for a fake support page. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-04. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online, with its content served behind access protection.
Fake wallet FAQ and support pages use the brand's look and a helpful tone to walk visitors toward a supposed fix for a sync, balance or access problem. That fix usually ends in a request for the 12-word recovery phrase or a wallet connection. Whoever holds an Exodus recovery phrase controls the wallet, so anyone who types it in can lose every asset in it, and the theft cannot be reversed. When we checked, the page title read "404: This page could not be found.", even though we classify the site as Exodus impersonation phishing.
On 2026-09-16, 16 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the site. The detecting vendors include ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Criminal IP, alphaMountain.ai, Chong Lua Dao and CyRadar. They are independent of each other and include both major antivirus companies and regional phishing trackers, which makes the result more meaningful than a single verdict. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its own blocklist.
The page runs as a subdomain of created.app, and that registration through Name.com, Inc. dates to 2023-07-12. That is more than three years before PhishDestroy detected this Exodus-themed page, which fits a scam hosted on an established shared domain rather than on a freshly registered lookalike. The site is hosted on Amazon.com, Inc. infrastructure in the US.
If you entered your Exodus recovery phrase on this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Install a fresh wallet with a new phrase and move any remaining funds there immediately. If you connected a wallet, revoke any token approvals you granted and watch it for unexpected transactions. Exodus support will never ask for your recovery phrase, so treat any page or message that does as a scam. Defenders should block the full hostname, flag lookalike Exodus help subdomains on app-hosting platforms, and report the page to the hosting provider for takedown.
For the registrable domain created.app behind this subdomain, the registrar above operates under an ICANN accreditation agreement. The links below provide the official fee schedule and current DNS abuse compliance guidance.
