PhishDestroy threat report
elfcesnaticsd.shop is an impersonation phishing page that carried the title "e.l.f. Cosmetics" and copied the identity of the well-known beauty brand to attract bargain-hunting shoppers. The domain is a scrambled version of the brand name on a .shop extension, built to look like a plausible online store at a glance. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-27. The site went offline on 2026-09-09 and was still dead, with no active DNS, when last checked on 2026-10-19.
Fake brand storefronts like this one usually reach victims through social media ads or promotional messages offering steep discounts or clearance sales on popular products. The page presents itself as e.l.f. Cosmetics, so a visitor believes they are buying from the real company and goes through a familiar checkout. What they actually hand over is their name, shipping address, email, phone number and payment card details. The products typically never arrive, or something cheap and unrelated is shipped, and the stolen card data and personal information can be reused for fraud.
Eight of 90 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was checked on 2026-09-06: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, PhishFort, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a modest share, but the list includes PhishFort, which focuses on brand impersonation, and several independent web-filtering vendors reached the same verdict. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, showing other researchers tracked it, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered through Spaceship, Inc. and served from an address on Cloudflare, Inc.'s network located in Canada. The page stayed live for only about two weeks after PhishDestroy first saw it, which fits the short lifespan of throwaway shop domains that are dropped once they are reported or flagged.
If you placed an order on this site, contact your bank or card issuer right away, report the charge as fraud, and ask for the card to be cancelled and reissued. Watch your statements for unfamiliar transactions in the coming weeks. If you created an account using a password you use elsewhere, change it on those services and turn on two-factor authentication. Expect follow-up phishing to the email address and phone number you entered. Defenders should block the domain and look for other lookalike e.l.f. Cosmetics storefronts using similar misspellings on cheap retail extensions.

Dated changes retained by the monitor and source collectors. Newest observations appear first; source states are not proof of a takedown.
