PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

creategfo.com is a phishing page that presents itself as GFO-X, the brand shown in its page title. The "create" in the domain name points to a sign-up lure aimed at people who expect to open or activate a GFO-X account. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-23, the same day the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites like this copy the look and name of a trusted platform so the visitor does not question the page. The victim is asked to register, sign in or connect a wallet, and everything they enter goes to the operators instead of GFO-X. That can include email addresses, passwords, one-time codes and identity details. If a wallet is connected, the victim may be shown approval or signature requests that hand control of their tokens to the attacker. Typical losses are a hijacked account, harvested personal data or a drained wallet.

Evidence

Eight of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-03: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar, Sophos and URLQuery. That is a modest share, but these vendors reached the same verdict independently. Two crypto-focused lists also block the domain: MetaMask's phishing blocklist and SEAL. Both concentrate on threats to wallet users. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat-intelligence pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-23 and flagged the same day, so it was set up for immediate use rather than aged to look legitimate. It is registered through Cloudflare, Inc. and sits behind Cloudflare's network on an address geolocated to Canada. That arrangement hides the real origin server. Its Let's Encrypt certificate means the padlock icon proves nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you signed up or logged in on creategfo.com, change that password right away, along with any other account that uses it. Reset two-factor authentication and review recent logins on your real exchange accounts. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval-checking tool. Move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you entered a seed phrase. Reach GFO-X only through addresses you already trust. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and report it to Cloudflare as registrar and host.
