PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

checkout-dashboard.exodus-int.com is an impersonation phishing page that borrows the Exodus name and presents itself as an "Exodus Checkout Dashboard." It targets Exodus wallet users and anyone expecting to manage crypto payments through an Exodus-branded panel. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-13. The site has been offline since 2026-10-14, its content is blocked by the provider, and it was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The "-int" suffix and the "checkout-dashboard" subdomain are meant to make the address look like an official international or merchant portal of Exodus. Pages like this usually ask visitors to log in, verify a wallet or confirm a payment. That step is used to capture credentials or the wallet's recovery phrase, or to get the visitor to approve a transaction. Anyone who hands over a recovery phrase gives the operator full control of the wallet, and the funds can be moved out with no way to reverse it.

Evidence

The classification rests on PhishDestroy's own detection, and so far ours is the only blocklist listing the domain. A VirusTotal scan on 2026-10-13 returned 0 detections out of 92 engines. That means a check on VirusTotal alone would have shown this site as clean when we caught it. The brand misuse in the domain name and the page title is the clearest signal here.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-02-10, about eight months before it surfaced as an active phishing page. A domain that sits unused for that long before going live suggests it was registered in advance and kept ready for use. Registration is through Cloudflare, Inc., and the site sits behind Cloudflare's network (AS13335) in the US. The certificate comes from Google Trust Services, which shows that the padlock icon proves nothing about whether a site is really Exodus. The provider blocked the content one day after our detection.

What to do

If you typed an Exodus recovery phrase into this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet in the official Exodus app and move any remaining funds to it immediately. If you entered a password or email, change them wherever you reused them and turn on two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, review and revoke token approvals from a trusted tool. Defenders should block exodus-int.com at the domain level, including all its subdomains, and warn users that Exodus will never ask for a recovery phrase through a web dashboard.
