PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

bettercommunity.ch is an impersonation phishing page. It presents itself as "BetterCommunity — The home for all Better* projects" and targets people who follow or use those projects. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-08. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content, so anyone searching for that community can still land on it.

How the scam works

The page poses as a central hub for a family of projects, which gives it a reason to collect logins, wallet connections or other sensitive steps for several brands at once. Pages like this usually copy the look and wording of a trusted project. They then steer visitors toward a sign-in form, a wallet prompt or a request for a recovery phrase. Whatever the visitor enters goes to the operators. That can mean hijacked accounts or, if a recovery phrase is handed over, an emptied wallet.

Evidence

Detection by security vendors is still thin. When VirusTotal last checked on 2026-09-22, only 3 of 89 engines flagged the domain: Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. Most browser and antivirus protections will therefore not warn visitors yet. ScamSniffer, a blocklist focused on Web3 threats, lists the domain alongside PhishDestroy. It also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have independently tracked it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-05-31, about 100 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was prepared in advance rather than spun up and used the same day. The site runs on the FEELB SARL network in France. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

If you signed in on this page, change that password right away and change it anywhere else you reused it. Then turn on or reset two-factor authentication. If you typed a wallet recovery phrase here, treat that wallet as compromised and move any remaining funds to a new wallet created with a fresh phrase. Reach Better* projects only through links published on their official channels, never through search ads or direct messages. Defenders should block the domain and the hosting IP 45.145.164.20 at the DNS or proxy level and report the page to the impersonated projects so they can warn their communities.
