PhishDestroy threat report
app.spotifylite.online is an impersonation phishing page that borrows Spotify's name and presents itself as "Spotify Lite Premium". It targets Spotify listeners, especially those looking for a cheaper or discounted Premium subscription. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-07. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.
The page title promises a "Lite" version of Spotify Premium, a product Spotify does not sell under that name. Offers like this usually lead the visitor to a login form that imitates Spotify's sign-in and then to a checkout step for the supposed subscription. Anything typed there goes to the operators, not to Spotify. Victims can lose control of their Spotify account, any other account that uses the same password, and the card details entered for a subscription that never arrives.
On 2026-10-07, 21 of 92 security engines on VirusTotal flagged the domain as malicious. Those vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Emsisoft, Criminal IP, alphaMountain.ai, Certego, CRDF and CyRadar. That is broad agreement across unrelated vendors for a domain that was only a week old. Besides PhishDestroy, the threat feeds Phishunt and PhishFeed also list it.
The domain was registered on 2026-09-30 through Cloudflare, Inc. and was already being caught as phishing seven days later. That short gap is typical of pages set up for a fast, disposable campaign. The site runs on Interserver, Inc. hosting in the United States. Its certificate comes from Let's Encrypt, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about whether the site is really Spotify.
If you signed in on this page, change your Spotify password right away from the official app and log out of all devices. Do the same on any other service where you reused that password, and turn on two-factor authentication wherever it is offered. If you entered card details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Watch your statements for small test payments. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the web proxy and alert users that Spotify does not sell a "Lite Premium" plan. Suspicious subscription offers should be reported to Spotify.
