Its page title, "Votre Maison d'Optique et d'Audition | Acuitis France", copies the brand's own wording to reach French-speaking customers looking for glasses, lenses or hearing aids. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-09. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content.
How the scam works
Brand-impersonation shops like this copy a real retailer's look and language, then attach the name to a lookalike domain, here a .shop address that adds "care" to the Acuitis name. Visitors who believe they are on the official site are pushed to book appointments, order eyewear or hearing products, or create an account. Along the way they hand over names, contact details, health-related information and card payments. Orders are not fulfilled, and the collected card and personal data can be reused for fraud or follow-up scams that cite the fake order.
Evidence
On 2026-09-20, 8 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That is a minority of engines, but it includes several mainstream security vendors, so the verdict does not rest on one source. Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc. on 2026-04-14, about five months before PhishDestroy detected it.
