PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

abc-binance.com.cn is a phishing site posing as Binance and aimed at Chinese-speaking users of the exchange. Its page title reads "币安 Binance | 全球领先的数字资产交易平台" ("Binance | the world's leading digital asset trading platform"), copying the brand's own marketing line. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-10. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and its content was reachable through a redirect.

How the scam works

The "abc-" prefix and the .com.cn ending make the address look like a regional Binance portal, and the familiar Chinese title reinforces that impression. Pages like this present a copy of the Binance login, then capture whatever the visitor types: email or phone number, password, and often the one-time 2FA code, which the attackers replay at once on the real exchange. With that access they can empty the account by withdrawing to their own addresses. Some versions also push fake deposit or verification steps so victims send crypto directly.

Evidence

On 2026-10-14, seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and SOCRadar. That count is modest, so many security tools will still let the site load. urlscan.io rated it malicious and identified Binance as the imitated brand. The domain is on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as spam, and it appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-17 through 郑州龙名网络科技有限公司, just 23 days before PhishDestroy caught it, which fits a short-lived phishing domain set up for a single campaign. It resolves to an address on the CONRAD - CONRADIT, LLC network, a US-registered provider, with the server located in Hong Kong. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, which only means the connection is encrypted. It does not show the site belongs to Binance.

What to do

If you entered credentials on this site, log in to Binance through the official app or a bookmarked address. Change your password, reset 2FA, and remove any API keys, devices or withdrawal addresses you do not recognise. Review recent withdrawals and contact Binance support immediately if anything moved, and change the password anywhere else you used the same one. Do not send further funds for any "verification" or "unlock" fee the site requested. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting address and watch for lookalike .com.cn domains built around the Binance name.
