PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

aaryan-musk.github.io is an impersonation phishing page built on a free GitHub Pages subdomain and dressed up as Amazon. It targets Amazon customers, the kind of people who will click a link about an order or a locked account. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-06. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11 and was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Amazon look-alike pages usually reach victims through emails or texts warning of a suspended account, a failed payment or a suspicious order. The link leads to a copy of the Amazon sign-in or billing screen, where anything typed goes straight to the operator. Victims risk losing their Amazon login, the saved payment cards behind it, and sometimes card numbers and personal details entered directly into the fake form. The page now shows the title "Site not found · GitHub Pages", which is GitHub's standard error page, while we classified the site as Amazon impersonation.

Evidence

When checked on 2026-09-16, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the address. The vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, ESET, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. That is a solid level of agreement for a short-lived page on a shared hosting domain. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and specifically recognized Amazon branding on the page. The address is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The operator did not register a domain or rent a server. The page ran on a GitHub Pages subdomain, with GitHub, Inc. as registrar and content served from Fastly's US network, which GitHub uses for Pages. Free hosting like this gives scam pages the reputation of a trusted platform and costs the operator nothing to replace. That fits the short lifespan here: about five days passed between first detection and the site going offline.

What to do

If you entered your Amazon credentials on this page, change your Amazon password right away. Change it on any other account that shares it, and turn on two-step verification. Review your recent orders, saved addresses and payment methods for anything you did not add. If you typed in card details, contact your bank to block or reissue the card and watch your statements. Defenders should block the address and look for the matching lure emails in mail logs. Suspicious github.io pages that copy major brands can be reported to GitHub for removal.
