voteup.help is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself under the bare title "Vote" and borrows the look of a legitimate voting or governance page to win a visitor's trust. Its listing on MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL blocklists points to crypto wallet users as the target. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-10-09. On 2026-10-19 the server was still responding, but the domain's DNS no longer served the phishing content.
How the scam works
Vote-themed lures send a link asking the recipient to back a project, a proposal or a contest entry, often with a sense of urgency or a promised reward for taking part. The "Vote" button then asks the visitor to connect a wallet or sign in. In wallet-focused versions of this scheme, the signature or approval request grants the attacker permission to move tokens, and the wallet is emptied once it is signed. In credential versions, the login details typed into the fake form go straight to the operator.
Evidence
Six of 92 engines on VirusTotal flagged the domain as of 2026-10-13: ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but several of these vendors specialise in crypto threats, and the domain is also blocked by MetaMask, ScamSniffer and SEAL. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL as a spam domain, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-10-05 through Hosting Concepts B.V. (Registrar.eu) and was already live as a phishing page four days later, which fits a disposable lure built for a short campaign. It is hosted in Germany on the DEDIK SERVICES LIMITED network. Its free Let's Encrypt certificate shows a padlock in the browser, which says nothing about whether the site is trustworthy.
What to do
If you connected a wallet or signed anything on this page, revoke the token approvals granted to unfamiliar contracts with a trusted approval-checking tool. Move any remaining funds to a new wallet if you approved transfers or entered a seed phrase. If you typed a password, change it everywhere you reuse it and turn on two-factor authentication. Defenders should block voteup.help at DNS and proxy level and treat unsolicited "vote for us" links that ask for a wallet connection as phishing.
