How the scam works
Fake mirror sites rely on the fact that onion-based services are hard to reach, so users routinely search for and click "official mirror" links shared in search results, chats and forums. Anything typed there, including usernames, passwords and one-time codes, goes to the operators. They can then log in as the victim and empty any balance held on the account. Some mirror clones also prompt for deposits or "verification" payments, and that money is lost as well.

On 2026-10-07, 13 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and ADMINUSLabs. That count is moderate, but the vendors are mainstream and independent of one another.
