kraken-sait-darknet.ru is an impersonation phishing page that uses the Kraken name. Its Russian page title reads "Официальное зеркало Kraken Onion через Tor. Безопасный вход." ("Official Kraken Onion mirror via Tor. Secure login."). It targets Russian-speaking users who search the open web for a working link to a Tor-based Kraken site. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25, and it was still online and serving content on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Tor-hidden services are hard to reach and their addresses change often, so users regularly search for "mirrors." Phishing operators exploit this by publishing lookalike domains that promise a safe, official entry point. Here the "secure login" in the title is the hook. Whatever username, password or 2FA code a visitor types goes to the operators, who can then take over the real account and the cryptocurrency held in it. Pages like this may also show their own deposit addresses, so any funds sent through them go straight to the scammers.
Evidence
On 2026-10-07, 15 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime and Chong Lua Dao. That is a minority of engines, but the flags come from several unrelated vendors. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses. All of this sits alongside its listing on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through RU-CENTER on 2026-03-19, about six months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was kept in reserve or quietly promoted before drawing attention. Traffic passes through Cloudflare (edge address 188.114.97.3, geolocated to Canada), which hides the server that actually hosts the page. The Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, but that only means the connection is encrypted, not that the site is genuine.
What to do
If you entered credentials on this page, change the password on the real account from a trusted device right away. Reset your 2FA, end all active sessions and check for unfamiliar withdrawals or new withdrawal addresses.
