lamperio.top is an impersonation phishing page that copied a legitimate service to win the trust of crypto users. MetaMask and SEAL, two wallet-focused blocklists, list it, which places it in the crypto-theft ecosystem. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-07, two days after the domain was registered. The site went offline on 2026-09-16, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look of a known wallet, exchange or project so visitors believe they are on the real site. The victim is then asked to sign in, enter a recovery phrase, or connect a wallet and approve a transaction. Whatever is typed or signed goes to the operators, who can drain the wallet or take over the account. The page title showed only the bare domain name, so it did not reveal which brand was being imitated.
Evidence
On 2026-09-17, 7 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and VIPRE. That count is modest, but it comes from vendors that worked independently of one another. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category, which affects mail filtering as well as browsing. Besides PhishDestroy, the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists carry the domain, so wallet users were warned directly. Four AlienVault OTX pulses also reference it, showing that other analysts tracked the same campaign.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-05 through Global Domain Group LLC under the low-cost .top extension. Detection came within two days, and the site lasted barely a week and a half before going dark. That short lifespan is typical of throwaway phishing domains that operators abandon once blocklists catch up. With the DNS now inactive, the name no longer resolves anywhere.
What to do
If you entered a seed phrase or private key on lamperio.top, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet on a trusted device and move any remaining funds to it right away. If you only connected a wallet or signed transactions, check your token approvals with a reputable approval checker and revoke anything you do not recognise. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reused it and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and mail gateways, search logs for visits after 2026-09-05, and watch for look-alike .top registrations from the same campaign.
