How the scam works
The "Holder Crates" theme is a common lure in token communities. Holders are told a reward box, airdrop or bonus is waiting, and they only need to visit the page to claim it. Fake claim pages like this usually ask the visitor to connect a wallet and sign one or more prompts. Those signatures can grant token approvals or authorize transfers that let the operator empty the wallet. Because the name and branding copy Familiars, victims believe they are dealing with the real project and sign without looking closely.
Evidence
On 2026-10-07, VirusTotal showed 12 of 92 engines flagging the domain. The vendors include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. That is a minority of engines, but the flags come from several unrelated security companies. The wallet-focused blocklists of MetaMask and SEAL list it alongside PhishDestroy, so MetaMask users should see a warning before the page loads. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference the domain, which shows other researchers are tracking it.

The domain was registered on 2026-09-24 through Hosting Concepts B.V. (Registrar.eu) and was spotted the next day. That short gap fits a site built for a quick campaign rather than a lasting project. It sits behind Cloudflare, with the edge address located in Canada, so the server that actually hosts the page stays hidden.
What to do
If you connected a wallet or signed anything on this page, open a token-approval checker and revoke every approval you do not recognize. Then move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet. If you entered a seed phrase, treat that wallet as fully compromised and stop using it. Check for crate or airdrop announcements only on Familiars' official channels, and never trust links shared in replies or direct messages. Defenders should block crates-familiars.world at DNS and proxy level and report it to the registrar and to Cloudflare for takedown.
