webszx.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as WEB3.AI. It targets crypto and Web3 users who might trust an AI-themed blockchain brand. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15, three days after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its scam content.
How the scam works
The page is titled WEB3.AI and borrows that branding to look like a legitimate Web3 or AI crypto platform. Impersonation sites like this usually ask visitors to connect a wallet, sign a transaction, or enter account details or a recovery phrase to claim access, rewards or a platform feature. Whatever the victim hands over is used against them. A signed approval or transaction lets the operators move tokens, and a seed phrase gives them full control of the wallet. Funds taken this way are generally unrecoverable.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the site malicious and tagged it as a cryptoscam. On 2026-09-25, 11 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged it, including Google Safe Browsing, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and Gridinsoft. That count is moderate, but the vendors are independent of each other. The MetaMask and SEAL blocklists list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, Spamhaus DBL classifies it as phishing, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-12 through Cloudflare, Inc., and the scam went live fast enough for PhishDestroy to catch it within three days. That short gap points to a domain bought specifically for this campaign. The site sits behind Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocating to Canada, so the visible IP belongs to Cloudflare and does not show where the operators are. The free Let's Encrypt certificate means the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
Do not connect a wallet to webszx.com or sign anything it presents. If you already connected, review and revoke any token approvals granted during that session with a trusted approval-management tool.
