Overview

skinsftn.com is an impersonation phishing site. Its name targets people who buy, sell or trade in-game skins. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-03. When last checked on 2026-10-19, the domain no longer resolved in DNS, so the page is currently offline, though the name could be pointed at a server again at any time.

How the scam works

Sites like this copy the look of a trusted trading or gaming platform and ask visitors to sign in, often through a fake login window that looks like the real one. Whatever the victim types, such as username, password or one-time code, goes straight to the operators. They can then take over the account and move its inventory out. The page served only the title "Loading", a generic placeholder that does not name the brand being imitated.

Evidence

Seven of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-06: alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, Netcraft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but it comes from several unrelated vendors, including Netcraft and Fortinet, which reach their verdicts independently. Spamhaus lists the domain on its DBL as spam. It also appears in two AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2026-09-07, about four weeks before PhishDestroy caught it. That is a typical lead time for a short-lived phishing campaign. It was hosted at 46.29.26.38, an address announced by M/S Robi Traders, a Bangladeshi network, but geolocated to Finland.

What to do

If you entered a login on skinsftn.com, change that password right away on the real platform and on any other service where you reuse it. Then reset your two-factor authentication and sign out all active sessions. Check your trade history, linked API keys and trusted devices for anything you did not set up, and report missing items to the platform's support team. Defenders should block the domain and its IP, and search proxy and DNS logs for earlier visits.
