Overview

peopleinhistory.co.uk presents itself as "Rainbet Casino - Official Crypto Gaming Platform" and targets people looking to gamble with cryptocurrency. It is not the official Rainbet platform. PhishDestroy classifies it as a fraudulent gambling site and first detected it on 2026-10-11. The site was still online and serving its casino content as of 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake crypto casinos borrow the name of a known brand, here Rainbet, so that deposits feel safe. Players send crypto to fund an account, and the balance on screen may grow through wins or bonuses that exist only in the site's own database. When the player tries to cash out, withdrawals stall behind invented conditions such as verification fees, "taxes" or minimum turnover. Every extra payment is lost along with the original deposit, because crypto transfers cannot be reversed.

On 2026-10-12, 7 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and Gridinsoft. That count is modest.
