patriotshipyards.com is an impersonation phishing site. Its name is built to read like an established shipbuilding company, which helps it pass as a real business. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15. The site went offline on 2026-10-14, and when it was last checked on 2026-10-19 it was still down and serving no harmful content.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the name and look of a real organization so that customers, suppliers or job seekers believe they are dealing with the genuine company. Victims are then pushed to sign in, submit personal or payment details, or act on fake invoices or orders, and everything they enter goes to the operator. The page title showed only "FASTPANEL", a default hosting control-panel label, while we classified the domain as impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-09-25, 14 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors included ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar and Gridinsoft. Agreement among that many unrelated vendors makes a false positive unlikely. The domain also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers tracked it independently. Among the blocklists we checked, it is listed by PhishDestroy.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2024-09-19, almost two years before we detected it. That long gap fits an aged domain kept in reserve or repurposed, since an older domain draws less suspicion than a new one. It was hosted on the Datagear LLP network in the United States. Its TLS certificate came from a FASTPANEL parking setup, which matches the generic page title and points to a default server panel rather than a custom-built site.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it right away and update any other account that uses the same password. Then turn on two-factor authentication. If you submitted card or bank details, or paid an invoice linked to this domain, contact your bank to dispute the charge and block the card. If you deal with the company the domain claims to be, confirm any request through contact details you already know are genuine. Defenders should block the domain, search mail and proxy logs for past visits or messages that referenced it, and treat traffic to 156.229.27.31 as suspicious.
