ontihur.com is an impersonation phishing site whose page presents itself under the name "Aura". It is aimed at people who expect to deal with a service by that name and are lured into trusting a look-alike. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-24. On 2026-10-19 the domain still resolved, but its page content would not load. The site could come back with a working page at any time.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages like this copy the branding and layout of a known service, here under the title "Aura", so that a visitor believes they are on the genuine site. Victims usually arrive through ads, search results, social media posts or messages. They are then asked to sign in, verify an account or confirm details. Anything typed into the forms goes straight to the operators. That can include logins, one-time codes, personal information or card numbers, which are then used to take over accounts or commit fraud.
Evidence
When VirusTotal last checked the domain on 2026-10-03, 16 of 91 security engines flagged it. That is a solid minority verdict from independent vendors, not a lone alert. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and the Vietnamese anti-phishing group Chong Lua Dao. The domain also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well. It is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2026-06-25, roughly three months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests the address was set up in advance and later put to use. Traffic is routed through Cloudflare on an address that geolocates to Canada. This hides the origin server behind Cloudflare's network. The site uses a standard certificate from Google Trust Services, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it right away on the real Aura service and anywhere else you reuse it. Then turn on two-factor authentication and sign out of other active sessions. If you gave card or bank details, contact your bank to block the card and dispute any charges. Treat any later messages that mention the same service with suspicion. Security teams should block ontihur.com at the DNS and proxy level and search logs for users who visited it. Anyone who submitted credentials there should be prompted to reset them.
