PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

PhishDestroy’s automated assessment classified the site as an impersonation phishing page because it uses the OKX brand, logo and trading‑related copy on a non‑official domain. The recorded page title and meta description reference the OKX mobile app and market data, matching the assessment’s concern about credential theft. The domain was first seen by PhishDestroy on 2026-10-23 and returned an HTTP 200 response on that date.

How the scam works

In an impersonation phishing scheme, attackers host a look‑alike site that copies the visual identity and language of a legitimate service to trick users into entering login credentials, two‑factor codes or other sensitive data. The harvested data can then be reused on the real platform to gain unauthorized access.

Evidence

VirusTotal scanned the domain on 2026-10-23 with 92 engines and reported zero detections. Google Safe Browsing checked the same date and did not flag the URL. urlscan.io captured the site on 2026-10-23 and returned a malicious verdict with a score of 100, labeling it as phishing and associating it with the OKX brand. External blocklists MetaMask and SEAL listed the domain, and PhishDestroy’s internal blocklist also contains it. OTX recorded three pulses mentioning the domain as of the same date.
