Overview

leddgrlive.framer.media is a fraudulent site impersonating Ledger Live, the official desktop application for managing Ledger hardware wallets. It targets Ledger hardware wallet owners by presenting itself as a legitimate app download or wallet management portal. PhishDestroy first flagged this domain on 2026-10-14, and as of 2026-10-18 the site remains fully live and serving active content.

How the scam works

The page title 'Ledger Live – Secure Crypto Wallet Management App Download' closely mimics Ledger's official branding to build trust with visitors who own or are seeking to set up a Ledger device. Once a visitor is convinced they are on a legitimate Ledger resource, the site solicits their 12- or 24-word seed phrase under the pretense of wallet recovery, synchronization or app verification. Handing over a seed phrase gives attackers complete, permanent control over every asset in the associated wallet — there is no way to reverse transfers made after the phrase is compromised.

Evidence

VirusTotal returned 17 malicious detections out of 92 engines checked on 2026-10-14, with flagging vendors including ESET, Fortinet, Emsisoft, G-Data, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Chong Lua Dao, DNS8 and alphaMountain.ai. urlscan.io independently rendered the page and issued a malicious verdict, identifying the Ledger brand as the impersonation target. The domain appears on four blocklists: PhishDestroy, MetaMask, SEAL and PhishFeed.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2021-11-19 through CSC Corporate Domains, Inc. It is hosted on Amazon.com infrastructure (AMAZON-02) at an IP geolocated to the Netherlands. The TLS certificate is issued by Let's Encrypt under the YE2 intermediate, which provides HTTPS without implying any vetting of the site's legitimacy.
