Overview

gfo-xk.com is a phishing page that impersonates GFO-X. The page carries the title "GFO-X", and the domain adds an "-xk" suffix that is easy to miss when skimming a link. It targets crypto traders and wallet users who believe they are reaching the real platform. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15. The site has been offline since 2026-09-22 and was still unreachable when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Impersonation pages like this copy a trusted platform's name and look, then wait for victims to arrive through ads, search results, direct messages or links in community chats. Once the visitor trusts the "GFO-X" branding, the page asks for something of value. That is typically a login and password, a two-factor code, or a deposit into an account the operators control. Anything entered goes straight to the scammers. Deposits sent to such a clone cannot be recovered through the genuine brand.

Evidence

Six of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain when it was scanned on 2026-09-17: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, so many security products would have let it through. Wallet-focused defenders recognized it, though. Besides PhishDestroy, the domain sits on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, which matters for users whose browser wallets check those lists. It also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other analysts tracked it independently.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-04-13, about five months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests it was either held in reserve or operated quietly before drawing attention. It was registered through Cloudflare, Inc. and served from Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocated to Canada. Because Cloudflare's proxy sits in front of the site, the hosting address points to Cloudflare rather than to the operators' actual server.

What to do

If you signed in on gfo-xk.com, change that password right away, along with any other account that reuses it. Reset your two-factor authentication and review recent logins and withdrawals on your real accounts. If you sent a deposit, contact your exchange or payment provider immediately and keep transaction records for a report. Be wary of anyone offering to recover the funds for a fee. Defenders should block the domain, search logs for past visits, and watch for lookalike GFO-X domains built on the same pattern.
