expeer.io is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself under the Expeer name. Its page title reads simply "Expeer". It targets people who believe they are dealing with that brand. PhishDestroy first flagged the site on 2026-09-17, and it was still online with its content live when last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the name, look and wording of a real service so a visitor sees nothing out of place. Here, a page branded "Expeer" is the bait. Victims arrive through search results, ads, social posts or direct messages. Any sign-in details, personal information or payments entered on the page go to the operators rather than the genuine service. The losses follow from there: account takeover, identity misuse, or money sent to the scammers in the belief it is a legitimate transaction.
Evidence
Detection is still thin. On 2026-10-01, 5 of 91 VirusTotal engines marked the domain as malicious: CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, SOCRadar, VIPRE and desenmascara.me. The site also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have independently tracked it. The low engine count means most browsers and security tools may not warn visitors yet. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2025-01-14 through One.com A/S, about twenty months before PhishDestroy detected it on 2026-09-17. An aged domain like this can avoid the suspicion that newly registered names attract. The site is hosted on Fly.io, Inc. infrastructure in the United States.
What to do
If you entered a password on expeer.io, change it at once on the real Expeer service and anywhere else you reuse it. Turn on two-factor authentication and review recent account activity. If you shared personal or payment details, contact your bank or card issuer and watch for follow-up phishing that uses what you gave away. Reach Expeer only through addresses you already trust, never through links you were sent. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to mail and web filters. Report it to the hosting provider and registrar so the live page can be taken down.
