PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

en-exodus.co.im is an impersonation phishing domain built around the Exodus crypto wallet. The "en-" prefix mimics a language-specific subdomain of the real brand, which suits a page meant to catch Exodus users looking for downloads, support or wallet recovery. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-10-15. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content.

How the scam works

Wallet impersonation pages copy the look of a trusted brand and then ask for what the real wallet never requests online: the 12- or 24-word recovery phrase, a private key, or a download of a trojanized "Exodus" installer. Anyone who types in a recovery phrase gives the operator full control of that wallet, and the funds can be swept within minutes, with no way to reverse the transfer. The page currently shows the title "Site is being set up...", a placeholder-style title, while our classification is Exodus impersonation phishing.

Evidence

Ten of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain at the 2026-10-19 check, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and CRDF. That is a minority of engines, but it includes several mainstream endpoint vendors. MetaMask's and SEAL's blocklists also list the domain alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet-focused defenders have confirmed it independently. Spamhaus lists it in its domain blocklist as spam, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.

Infrastructure

The site resolves to 154.86.119.151 on the ExpressHost Ltd network. The network is registered in Great Britain and the server is located in the Netherlands. It uses a free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about whether the site is genuine.

What to do

If you entered an Exodus recovery phrase or private key on this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Install Exodus only from its official source, create a brand-new wallet with a new phrase, and move any remaining assets there immediately. If you downloaded software from this domain, uninstall it and scan the device before you use any wallet on it again. If you connected a browser wallet, revoke any approvals the session granted. Security teams should block en-exodus.co.im at the DNS and proxy level and watch for similar "en-" brand lookalikes.
