How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a trusted service, such as a wallet, exchange or account portal, and add a prompt that makes the visitor act fast: verify an account, claim a deal or fix a problem. Whatever is entered goes to the operators. That can be a login and 2FA code, a recovery phrase, or a wallet signature or approval that lets them move funds. The page itself displayed only a generic "Loading…" title, which is common when the visible content is pulled in by script after the page opens.
Evidence
Eleven of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-14. The flags came from ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and G-Data. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, which focus on crypto threats, so the wallet ecosystem identified it independently of PhishDestroy. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference the domain, showing that other researchers are tracking it as well.
Infrastructure
The operation moved quickly. The domain was registered on 2026-09-06 through Fewmoretaps OU (d/b/a Trustname.com), detected five days later, and offline the day after that. That short life fits a disposable phishing domain built for a brief campaign. The site sat behind Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server from visitors.
What to do
If you typed a password or one-time code into this site, change that password now, revoke active sessions, and reset 2FA on the real service. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals for unfamiliar spenders with a trusted approval checker. If you entered a recovery phrase, consider the wallet compromised and move any remaining assets to a new wallet created with a fresh phrase. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, search mail and web logs for visits since 2026-09-06, and watch for lookalike domains registered through the same pattern.
