PhishDestroy threat report
withdrawals-pumpbtc.xyz is an impersonation phishing page built around the PumpBTC name. It is framed as a place to withdraw funds, aimed at people who hold or stake Bitcoin through that protocol. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31. The site went offline on 2026-09-11 and was still dead when checked on 2026-10-19.
The "withdrawals" prefix is the hook. Holders who are waiting to unstake or redeem are the easiest people to rush, so a page promising a withdrawal portal draws them in. Pages of this kind usually ask the visitor to connect a wallet and approve or sign a transaction presented as the withdrawal step. That signature can hand the attacker permission to move tokens out of the wallet. Some versions also ask for a seed phrase as a "verification" step. In either case the victim loses the assets the wallet controls, not just the balance they meant to withdraw.
On 2026-09-14, five of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That count is modest, but these are separate vendors reaching the same verdict. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category. ScamSniffer, a feed focused on crypto scams, blocks it alongside PhishDestroy. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tracked it as well.
The domain uses the low-cost .xyz extension and was registered through Web Commerce Communications Limited (WebNic.cc). Traffic ran through Cloudflare on an address geolocated to Canada. Because Cloudflare acts as a front, the server that actually hosted the phishing page is hidden. The site lasted about eleven days after PhishDestroy first saw it, a typical lifespan for a disposable phishing domain.
If you connected a wallet here, open a token-approval checker for every network you used and revoke any permissions you do not recognize. Then move your remaining funds to a fresh wallet. If you typed in a seed phrase, treat that wallet as fully compromised and empty it right away. Use only withdrawal links you reach from PumpBTC's official channels, never from ads, direct messages or search results. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to wallet and browser blocklists. Watch for lookalike "withdrawal" or "claim" domains that reuse the PumpBTC name.
