PhishDestroy threat report
petuh.website presents itself in Russian as "Petuh", a Counter-Strike 2 hub for opening cases, running upgrades, trading contracts and collecting skins. PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page aimed at CS2 players who hold valuable skin inventories. We first flagged it on 2026-08-25. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content. The page title advertises a skin-gambling service, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
Fake CS2 case and upgrade sites lure players with cheap or free case openings, inflated drop odds and promises of rare skins. To claim a prize or start playing, the visitor is pushed to sign in through what looks like a familiar login or trade flow. That flow is built to capture account credentials or session access, or to trick the user into confirming a trade. Once attackers control the account, they can strip the skin inventory and any balance tied to it, and they often reuse the hijacked profile to spread the same lure to the victim's friends.
Detection is still thin. On 2026-10-07, 4 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. Four AlienVault OTX threat-intelligence pulses also reference it, so researchers outside PhishDestroy have independently tracked it. Most browsers and security products will not warn visitors yet, which is why PhishDestroy lists it on our blocklist.
The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2026-06-12, about ten weeks before we detected it. That gap is consistent with a site that was set up ahead of time and then promoted once it was ready. It sits behind Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. The HTTPS certificate from Google Trust Services means the padlock icon proves nothing about the site's legitimacy.
If you signed in or approved anything on petuh.website, change your Steam password at once and enable or reset Steam Guard. Then end all other sessions and revoke any Steam Web API key you did not create yourself. Check your trade history and pending offers, cancel anything unfamiliar, and warn friends not to open links sent from your account. Report the account takeover to Steam Support quickly to improve the odds of recovering items. Defenders and community moderators should block the domain and treat CS2 case or upgrade links shared in chats as phishing until verified.
